Holidays

We've been in the new house for 2 and a half weeks and only have a few more things to place in their new spot. It feels really nice. I'm so grateful to have a garage and a dishwasher. Well, Ben is grateful to have a dishwasher since he is doing most of the dishes. :) Spencer's kindergarten class made a recipe book of their favorite Thanksgiving recipes. Here are some of our favorites:
Pumpkin Pie By Ashlynn
"You need some pumpkin seeds and you will put them in the oven. Set it on hot 22 and cook them for 22 minutes. When the pie is done, put some orange cream on top of it."
Macaroni and Cheese By Spencer
"Put some butter in some noodles and some hot dogs. Put cheese in after you make the butter melt. Put it all in the oven for 20 minutes. When it beeps you know you can have it cool off. After you say a prayer, it will be ready to eat!"
Pumpkin Pie by Bryton
"You get a pumpkin and put in tin the oven for 20 minutes. Take it out when it looks like pumpkin pie. I like to put a lot of cream on top."
Hot Dogs by Dallas
"Get them in the microwave for 8 minutes. Take them out and wait a little. You can put a stick in it and put it back in the microwave for one more minute. Then it will be ready to eat with some ketchup."
Brownies By Charly
"You put some chocolate in a bowl, and add a bag of sugar to it. Sit it up, and put it in the oven for about 5 minutes. Pull it out of the oven and just eat them when they're squishy."

That's why we don't let 5 year olds cook...

Last night we went to the Craguns for their annual Pie Party; the night before Thanksgiving. Ben and I went once before...about 12 years ago. We don't plan on waiting another 12 years before going again. We love the Craguns! Here are the boys enjoying their soup and pie! And Henry had his own party. I have to go cook a turkey now so enjoy!!!

We took family pictures at home this year so here are Garrett and Henry and I practicing.

The New House!!! And Henry's new tricks!

We recently moved to Pleasant View Utah and lived with Ben's Aunt and Uncle while our townhome was being finished. On November 8th we got to move in! It's been soooo nice! And during family prayer and scripture study the last several weeks Henry has taken that opportunity when we're all together to show off his new tricks. It started with standing freely from a sitting position and we'd all laugh and clap for him. Then this last week he took steps and that got even more cheering from our little family. He brings so much joy to us!

The Halloween pictures are when we were still at Aunt Terri's house. So much fun!!!

Ogden Dinosaur Park

 Future paleontologists???

This one was a robotronic!!! Pretty scary!
During Fall Break Ben took the boys to the George Eccles Dinosaur Park here in Ogden. I got to meet them near the end when I was done at the temple. They had a really fun time-they were there for over 4 hours. Henry almost got eaten by a dinosaur a few times and even tried sand for the first time...:(

Henry walking-sort of

After his birthday bath from his cake he gave his new present a try.

Trip to Salt Lake

We took the boys up to the Children's Gateway Museum, Temple Square, and the Clark Planetarium in Salt Lake We took the FrontRunner Train and transfered to the TRAX system as well.  It was a lot of fun!

We have lived in Provo Utah for over 12 years and have never taken the boys to Temple Square. We decided it was time. It was a really nice experience.  The Tabernacle
In the Conference Center we listened to an organ recital. I thought it was great. :) They were excited to see the 'room' where we see Conference broadcast.

This was in the Clark Planetarium. Spencer and Ben put their heads on this lightening ball and it zapped them. The background was almost exactly the same as the one I grew up with in my bedroom. Memories. :)

Field Day and Webelos
